Youth Enterprise and Community Involvement:
Zpeakerbox is one of the first youth inspired and youth driven projects of the Zoroastrian community. The aim here was to create a sort of engagement amongst Zoroastrian youths in the world, using the internet as a social networking space to shorten the distance between one another, through discussions and pictures. But the Zpeakerbox project began as a test project to determine a common link between Zoroastrian youths around the world. Its success was an exciting welcome.
The site was created out of a global responsibility to give back to a community that has given us, as youths, so much. Being part of this community, being Zoroastrian, is in large part of the personal identity we hold important in our morale. Many of us innately follow the three tenants of the religion as best as we can: good thoughts, good words, good deeds, and we pride ourselves on following the right path whenever we can.
Zpeakerbox is developing into more than just another social networking site. From 2008-2012, the direction of the site will move toward developing youth enterprise and strongly encouraging community involvement. We will be working with different individuals and organizations to create more new projects in our community and encouraging youths to become active members in their local and global organizations.
If you would like more information or how you can get involved, contact us.
